Grand Canyon National Park est le parc le plus visité des Etats-Unis, donc forcément, il y a du monde, surtout côté Souh Rim ! A l’extérieur du parc, Tusayan, à 11 km de l’entrée sud est l’option la plus proche et la plus pratique (une navette gratuite relie la ville au parc) pour séjourner. Williams ou Flagstaff ont plus de cachet mais sont plus éloignées (100-120 km). Toutefois, le top reste de dormir dans l’enceinte du parc pour pouvoir profiter du site en dehors des heures de pointe (10h-17h) et profiter du canyon à différents moments et sous différentes lumières... Outre quelques campings, la South Rim compte plusieurs hôtels & lodges, pour la plupart situés dans Grand Canyon Village. L’offre étant limitée, il est vivement conseillé de réserver longtemps à l’avance. La North Rim est moins fréquentée mais ne compte qu’un camping & un lodge, donc là encore mieux vaut réserver à l’avance. Hors du parc, le Kaibab Lodge, situé à Fredonia (30 km), constitue l’option la plus proche de la North Rim.
