Budapest se visite toute l’année, mais les meilleures périodes restent le printemps (avril–juin) et l’automne (septembre–octobre), lorsque les températures sont douces et la ville agréable à parcourir. L’été peut être chaud, propice aux bains thermaux et aux soirées en terrasse, tandis que l’hiver est plus froid, avec des températures souvent en dessous de 0 °C et parfois de la neige.
Un séjour de 3 à 4 jours suffit pour découvrir les principaux sites et l’ambiance des différents quartiers.
