Le parc est petit et un safari d’une demi-journée suffit pour en avoir un bon aperçu.
La meilleure période pour visiter s’étend de juin à octobre, pendant la saison sèche, lorsque les animaux se regroupent autour des points d’eau. Durant la saison des pluies (mars à mai), la végétation dense rend l’observation plus difficile et certaines pistes, notamment en terrain marécageux ou sableux, peuvent devenir impraticables. En revanche, cette période est idéale pour l’observation des oiseaux et l’affluence touristique y est moindre.
